We Offer Flat Fees & Hourly Fees

Flat Fees

We use set fees as much as possible whether your case is family-related or criminal.
A flat fee is a fixed, unchanging price charged for a particular service, regardless of the hours lawyers need. We will not ask for additional payment on top of a fixed fee until the indicated work is completed.
Our team will begin working on a case after a payment, our clients do not receive surprise charges.
If circumstances change then we will discuss with the client before any extra fees will be considered.

We are able to provide you with a fixed fee for services related to the following…

  • Most uncontested divorce cases
  • Agreements including marriage and separation agreements
  • Wills
  • Immigration cases
  • Estate case
  • Residential Tenancy Branch disputes
  • Documents and Agreements for Small Businesses
  • Lease and contracts
  • Loan agreements
  • Civil disputes
  • Criminal cases including but not limited to driving while prohibited

Our legal team often requires a consultation to understand your case, enabling us to offer a flat fee tailored to your specific situation.

Hourly Fees

In certain legal cases, lawyers opt for an hourly billing structure, wherein clients are billed based on the actual time spent on their cases.
We focus on transparency in our client relationships and believe in providing clarity about our services and associated costs.
If we have a retainer, we will contact the client regarding the status of the work and the retainer.
We will not bill beyond the retainer without instructions from the client.
Before embarking on any legal representation by retainer, we inform our clients of the hourly cost in advance.

No Initial Consultation fee if you retain us!

In many cases, we need to schedule an initial consultation to assess your case and estimate legal fees.
We can have a consultation over the phone, online, or in person at our office in downtown Vancouver.
There will be a $200 (tax included) consultation fee. However, if you retain us as your lawyer, this fee will be deducted from your invoice. The consultation will be up to an hour.
If the initial consultation requires extensive document review, the fee will vary.
We provide consultation in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. There is no additional charge for interpretation.
Feel free to reach out to us to arrange a consultation by calling or you can send us an email with a few suggested dates and times.
